ANNOUNCING OUR NEW INSPIRATIONAL PODCAST: THE LEADERSHIP LIBRARY

With our pilot episode complete and subsequent episodes already in the works, we are pleased to announce the launch of our LEADERSHIP LIBRARY PODCAST. Our pilot episode is scheduled to be released December 2nd, with releases scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Our Podcast will focus on Leadership and Legacy as we create AHA moments from my book, Tighten The Lug Nuts and my over 40 years of boots on the ground leadership experience. Katy Perry’s song FIREWORK has some great lyrics that I would like to use as we talk about your 100-day plans, getting ready for 2022. Never lose sight that you create the future, you bring the rainbow, and YOU ARE THE ARCHITECT OF YOUR DESTINY.

There is a lot of uncertainty that comes with a new job, a new responsibility, and a new year post Covid. You will encounter new people, an unfamiliar environment, a new set of responsibilities and sadly people who you know that have experienced difficulties from their individual experiences from Covid.

Success during week one and the coming weeks and months is about balance: if it is a new job, you want to make a great first impressions, with the understanding you will not get everything right. The key component for the first 100 days and beyond is Balanced Leadership. The three key constituents that are represented in the Balanced Leadership Model must be in consideration and prominent in all we do in the first 100 days. They will be the same constituents going forward in your Balanced Leadership approach. They are our Customers, Our People, and our Shareowners and or Stakeholders. In all we do as an organization and as the leader, our actions must take these three into consideration.

This is true in your first 100 days of your new job or responsibilities. You will need to understand the customers depending on your role, they may be internal or external customers. The same for people, and stakeholders.

Therefore, understanding and committing to the balanced leadership approach is so important. Your consistency and dedication to the approach will be watched, seen, and evaluated, and your people will decide based on your example what they believe and what you believe and what is important going forward. You are modeling what good leadership looks like in the first 100 days as you gain results and steer the organization.
